全米大学協会(AAC&U)とのクロス・アポイントメントにより、2017年4月1日より、「スーザン アルバーティン教授」が着任されました。

Joining CHEGA as visiting professor, I hope to participate in exchange of knowledge, experience, and practices related to undergraduate higher education in Japan and in the United States. The global context of higher education today underscores the need for shared explorations among educators across nations. Educators around the world are studying learning outcomes and assessment along with forms of active pedagogy, emphasizing the benefits to students whose careers will require social, political, and cultural boundary crossing. Our students will need to work in diverse teams to solve problems and to anticipate challenges in the future. 
International and Inter-institutional research supported by CHEGA aims to help educators prepare and align curricula, strengthen quality assurance and assessment, and advance admissions practices.  Respecting cultural differences and seeking opportunities for collaboration requires energy, thoughtfulness, and shared commitment.  
I am honored to be part of CHEGA’s investment in the future of college education and to foster connections between Osaka University and institutions in the United States.

私は大阪大学CHEGAの教授として、日本と米国の大学教育に関連する知識、経験、実践を共有していきたいと考えています。現在の高等教育のグローバルな状況では、国を超えた教育者間の研究の必要性が求められています。世界各地の教育者は、社会的、政治的、文化的な境を超えたキャリアを送るであろう学生のため、新しい教育法によるラーニングアウトカムや評価法を実践しています。現代の学生は、問題を解決し、将来の課題を予測するために、多様なチームで働く必要があります。
CHEGAが実施している国際的で組織を超えた研究は、教育者がカリキュラムの設計や統合、質保証と評価の強化、新しい入試の実践の促進をする際に重要な役割を担います。互いの文化的な違いを尊重し、コラボレーションの機会を得るには、活気、思いやり、コミットメントの共有が必要です。
私は、CHEGAの一員として、大阪大学と米国の関連機関の架け橋となり、高等教育の未来に貢献できることを光栄に思っています。
